Finding Wholeness in the Midst of Feeling Unworthy and Broken |68

Do you ever feel unworthy, unlovable, inadequate, broken vessel, not good enough, smart enough, spiritual enough…?

Are you struggling with an issue or confronted by painful memories or brokenness?

 

Trauma affects our body, emotions, thoughts and beliefs, and we need healing from these events. 

The good news is Jesus understands our brokenness and can help!

Brokenness was not the end of the story for Jesus, and through Him, neither is it the end of our story!

 

Through Jesus Christ, we can experience physical, emotional and spiritual healing. 

Whether you’ve been let down by disappointment, rejection, or resentment, Jesus came to heal your heart.

 

In this episode, I discuss Luke 4:18-19: Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

 

•“brokenhearted” : is from the Greek word that depicts a person who has been shattered or fractured by life. It is the picture of those whose lives have been continually split up and fragmented. 

•But Jesus said that He came to “heal” the brokenhearted! 

The word “heal” here means to set free or to loosen from the detrimental effects of a shattered life. The Greek meaning of this word speaks of a release from the destructive effects of brokenness. In other words, although there is every reason to experience and feel brokenness, the anointing that is on Jesus is more than enough to release you from its adverse effects. 

Even though you were once broken by life, the anointing of the Holy Spirit has the power to restore and release you from this captivity that has held you in emotional bondage.

•We live in the acceptable year of the Lord. We are in an age of grace.

God’s grace is sufficient to release you from the pain of that experience. It may not happen overnight, but with the grace of God working in you — and you cooperating with His grace through faith — He can restore what the enemy meant for destruction. 

 

Today I encourage you to throw open your arms and receive the grace of God that empowers and restores. It’s yours for the taking.

1. Receive God’s grace through Jesus’ performance and obedience of doing God’s will, and bringing salvation.
2. Agree with God’s Truth. (Amos 3:3)
3. Personalize and Speak God’s Word
4. Jesus has made you worthy to receive His grace, power and healing

What’s Been Given To You Through Salvation. + Declarations To Speak Over Yourself Today | 67

There are many gifts within the gift of salvation.

I want to help you discover and activate all that is available to you through Jesus’ cross and resurrection.

 

1. We get a new Father. (John 1:12-13)

2. We get a new nature and identity change. (2 Corinthians 5:17) We undergo a radical internal change. Our old self has been crucified with Christ, and we have a brand-new self, which is created in righteousness and holiness. You have a new nature. Identity - We are created in His image. We have the spiritual DNA of God.

3. We get a new family. We are united with Christ and joined to the body of Christ. Not only do we have union with the triune God, but we are also united with every other believer. (Romans 12:5)

 

Here is some of what you have been given through salvation:

A Heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally.

Peace With God

Union with Christ

The mind of Christ

The Name of Jesus

The power of the Holy Spirit

The gifts of the Holy Spirit

The fruit of the Holy Spirit

The full armor of God: The Belt of truth, Breastplate of righteousness, Shoes with the readiness of the Gospel of peace, Shield of faith, Helmet of salvation, Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

the better covenant made upon better promises, 

the living Word of God, 

the keys of the Kingdom, 

the power of prayer, 

the blood of Jesus, 

and righteousness by faith.

Inheritance

*Declarations*

Declare these truths to help remind you of what you have been given through salvation:

I have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son.

I have been born again by the incorruptible seed of God’s Word.

I have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of God and Jesus His Son.

I am God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus.

My spirit is alive to God and I have a new nature.

I am strengthened with all might according to His glorious power. 

I have the Greater One living within me and have authority over the devil. 

The Spirit of Truth abides in me. He is my Helper, Counselor, Teacher, He shows me things to come and guides me into all truth.

I hear God’s voice and follow Him. I trust in the Lord with all my heart and will not lean on my own understanding.  In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my path. I am not wise in my own eyes.

Jesus is made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. I am filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Jesus, Salvation, Joy and Peace: Christmas’ Greatest Gifts | 66

The announcement of the birth of Jesus is such an encouraging message of great joy, hope, love and peace. 

I want to tie in the birth of Jesus with His resurrection, and what we have available today, in the New Covenant. Jesus is the best gift ever given. He is the Savior of the world. His name in the Hebrew, Yeshua means salvation.

John 3:16 promises, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." 

When the Bible speaks of salvation as a gift from God, it emphasizes the fact that salvation is something given freely by Him rather than something we earn.  But the point of salvation is not so we won’t perish, but it’s to have eternal life.

John 17:3 says, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

God wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with you!

From Luke 2:10-11, 2:14 we find that

• Jesus offers us Salvation, which is a free gift that must be received.

It is not earned.  By His grace, God has already done everything to provide salvation. Your part is simply to believe and receive.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." 

 

• What is the good news: The Gospel of Peace with God.

The angels were praising God and rejoicing that through Jesus, there was peace between God and mankind. This peace came through the blood sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. 

Colossians 1:20 “and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”

-Jesus was rejected and beaten by men and bore our punishment so that we could be reconciled to God. 

-Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

 

Now God can justly love us. God isn’t mad at you; all of His judgment against our sin was placed on Jesus.  

This is the Gospel of peace. Jesus paid the punishment for sin in our place. He was the Suffering Servant who took our place. We now have a covenant of peace.   

Jesus’ obedience to do the Father’s will and shed His blood for you, makes you worthy to receive.

It’s called a gift of righteousness- by faith through God’s grace.

 

**Want to receive the free gift of salvation offered by Jesus Christ? You can accept it right now.  All you must do is "confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" Romans 10:9. 

Pray this now out loud:

“Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Savior. I believe in my heart that you are the Son of God and He raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!”

 

The very moment you commit your life to Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit and a new way of thriving is available. All of the benefits of salvation are for you!

Jesus is the Savior of the World, Prince of Peace, Immanuel....

Salvation means more than the forgiveness of our sins so we can go to heaven! Salvation includes deliverance, protection, prosperity, peace, healing and wholeness. It sums up all of the blessings bestowed by God on those who are in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit!

 

Jesus’ Salvation is for the whole person: spirit, soul and body. He has an entire benefits package for you in His finished work on the cross. It’s time to believe and receive all He has paid for you.

 

Jesus is our salvation and has redeemed us. To redeem means to brings back to its original state, even if we have brought something on ourself. Redemption is both spiritual and physical. 

Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection redeemed mankind back to God’s original plan of being in a close, personal relationship with Him.

Once a month, I am a guest on my friend Chris Cree of NewCREEations Ministries show called Two For Tuesday, where he does a live teaching/discussion. This is that recording, where we discuss how we can receive the emotional desires of our heart.  

I also recently conducted an impromptu coaching session for Chris, where he experienced God giving him some unknown emotional desires. In the coaching session, we were able to uncover some limiting beliefs and unhealthy coping strategies in order for Chris to breakthrough to a new level.

Chris, like many had been taught if he wanted something, or enjoyed it, that's it his flesh and not of God. He was also taught to devalue his emotions. Yet the Bible talks about when we delight ourselves in God, He gives us the desires of our hearts. (Psalm 37:4)

 

God is a heart God. We are to love Him with our whole heart, mind, soul and strength.  

We are spirit, soul and body.

Spiritual growth and emotional wellness go hand-in-hand.

Emotional healing and wholeness should be a regular part of our Christian lifestyle.
