Find Comfort and Replace Unhealthy Coping Methods: Tips and Strategies | 93
Tuesday Jun 27, 2023
Tuesday Jun 27, 2023
We'll explore the power of recognizing and replacing unhealthy ways of coping in times of stress or difficulty.
Join me and my friend Lisa Pinney as we have an honest conversation about how we had to recognize our own unhealthy ways of trying to find comfort and learn to replace then with healthy ones, so that we can all live happier, more fulfilling lives.
We are both trauma-informed life coaches, and this summer Lisa and I are talking about emotional health issues and how they are important for our spiritual growth.
Today we are continuing our conversation about when we face stress or painful situations, we have a tendency to run away from something, or run to something to find comfort, and how our bodies give physical cues that we need to pay attention to.
It can be very tempting to turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms like binge eating, drinking, shopping, isolating ourselves or numbing ourselves in someway to cope. However, these methods only provide temporary relief and can keep us stuck and often lead to long-term negative consequences.
In today’s episode, we will share some practical tips and strategies for you to develop healthy coping strategies that promote personal growth and confidence. We want to help you build resilience and experience inner peace, joy and rest.
If you find this podcast helpful, would you please share it with someone who needs encouragement and empowerment to thrive in all aspects of life? Also, please go to apple podcast and leave me at review and rating. This helps me know that this podcast is making a difference and helps others become aware of it as well. Thank you in advance.
Join us on this enlightening episode of the Created To Thrive podcast as we uncover the keys to replacing unhealthy coping mechanisms with sustainable practices that lead to joy and authentic connection. Together, we'll embrace the journey towards self-discovery, healing, and a life filled with purpose.
